Justice Rising Gala - Benefit for children of war

Nicole Watts shared at Church this past weekend about  #JusticeRising  = serving children of war.  JR believes education is the most powerful tool to effect lasting change in communities affected by war. Come 10/22, 5–9PM to their gala for all ages.  Engage the stories of the children featured in a photo exhibit & help in reaching our evening fundraising goal of $50,000.  Today, Justice Rising operates seven schools serving over 1,400 students. Over the next five years, we plan to build 40 more to reach nearly 6,000 at-risk kids. buff.ly/2gK3c24 Cocktail attire. A Response to The Mass Shooting in Las Vegas - October 1, 2017, 10:08pm.   Join the River Church as we gather for a prayer vigil,   this Friday, October 5, 5:00-6:00 pm, at our Beach Service Location   When I watched several of the many live video clips being posted of the mass shooting that took place in Las Vegas on Oct 1, 2017, the first thing I felt was outrage. How could a human being made in the image of God become such a contorted, deformed beast-like human with no apparent resemblance of God in him at all? Many have commented, "this man did not have God in his life." He perverted God's plan for a perfect world for God's creation. God created us to co-exist and enjoy Him forever. and intends to use my life in His good work. (Philippians 1:6, Ephesians 2:10)
 2.          I will acknowledge that I have been bought at a price for my sin, for which Jesus Christ died on the cross, so that I might be made right before God. (Romans 3:22-28)
 3.          I will love the Lord my God with all my heart, my soul, my mind. (Deuteronomy 6:5, Matthew 22:37)
 4.          I will trust in the Lord my God with all my heart and seek his purposes for my life. (Psalm 28:7,
